Bruce, try the link I put on all my posts with an image. It's very simple (that's how I'm able to use it!) and fast.

Okay, Lou I'll give it a shot.

With your permission I would like to send a regular size picture of your avatar to my ex TWA buddy Steve. I just sent him the link to the video you posted. He was very impressed. His son flys CO 737-800s. He's a TWA guy thru and thru. We have lots of great memories.

Well waddayaknow--- I saved your avatar to my desk top and when I clicked on it there was the larger picture! Disregard picture request!

Lou --- I sent that picture to Joan and here's her reply-----

If you'll get me that full size picture of your avatar I'll send it to both of them (divorced now)

I actually think so. WOW I remember those uniforms and how hot they were. We all had tiny waste lines due to the patent leather
belts and polyester uniforms. Thanks for sending this.

Joannie --- There's a retired career TWA captain that I chat with on one of the flight sim forums and he attached this picture to one of his posts. I told him the stew on the left looked like you --- is it you?

Great pics! Got'em!

About 8 years ago when moving from KY to TX I threw away about 30 trays of travel slides. Nobody was interested in them and I had seen them a jillion times and they were getting faded and dark. I only saved a couple trays. which I coverted to digital pics. The Santorini shots were part of them.

I signed up with ImageShack, but haven't tried to upload anything yet.

Bruce, that was taken in 1969 or 70.

Please show her this http://youtu.be/VWVLLC23g2U

Ask her if she ever flew with Jacques and Connie Charbinier.

In the video around 2:50

Jacques was a Flight Service manager and Connie was his wife. I flew with them many times - they flew as a pair, husband & wife. Connie was an artist. She painted a wonderful portraiture of my wife which hangs just behind me in the computer room. Another in the video, Marit Rhodes is in the picture shown right before Jacques and Connie. Marit was on Flight 800 along with her husband Scott Rhodes and Jacques and Connie.  Marit is the brunette.  The blonde with Marit is Jannelle Jensen.  She was Connie's roommate out of training and Jacques and Connie's dearest best friend.  Cry

Lou ---

Finally got her reply----

Thank You for sending this. I am sending this to my flying friends, I am sure they will love seeing this.
Yes I knew them and I flew with them as well. That was the international days. I also flew the 880 when I first started flying in Chicago, I loved that airplane. 12 seats in first class and 77 in coach.

Lou, I got this from Joan just now (9/11 story). I'm sure you have a story as well ----

It was a tough day for me. I don't know if you knew, there were 11 planes targeted that day and I
was on one of them. We were heading to LA and our departure was 8:50 on a L1011. We had the 3 that
were headed to Houston after the failed departure. I was interviewed by the FBI as well as our whole crew
and had to identify the 3 on our flight. They got them on the train system in Missouri. The FBI told us
the failure of the others was one fact. As well of an organized plan they had the one thing they did not take in
account was time change. Our President at the time Bill Compton was in Dallas when this announcement
of the first plane (We were being bought by American at this time). TWA was the first airline to demand all
departures and take-offs stop. And all land at the first opportunity. American followed with this. You met Bill and
his wife Dreana at our wedding. The information that Bill told us about that was mind boggling.
