Hello, i have a rather special problem when starting engines.
I can manually start engine 7and 8, 6 and 5, 4 and 3 and when i start 2 and 1 the other 6 engines go down.
It seems if all the fuel ic cut off.
Engines won't start witrh CTR+E.
Any suggestions??

Still forgot something.
When calling the buff in fsx, he always comes with engines shut down, altough standard my saved flight is with engine on.
Have not this problem with other AC.

If you're having troubles with your windows too then this thread may help with your starting problems:

To sumup: a few people have issues with engines, while most people don't. To consider this issue we need detailed tickets from these who have the issues. Thanks.

You have made this aircraft to difficult to operate. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. Same issues , windows won't close, engines won't start( I have tried all the suggestions in this thread)
So I unistalled and am now just using the Buff model..

Capt Sim-I like your aircraft but I hesitate to purchase any more if they are difficult to operate as the  B-52.

Yesterday. I had a strange thing happen.

I loaded a saved B-52 Cold-N-Dark flight. The widows were open and I couldn't close them. I decided not to worry about it and continued on. A little later, I had taken off and was climbing through 5000' (roughly) when I tried to close the windows again. It worked. I might have been able to close them earlier, but because I had decided not to worry about it, I hadn't tried again.

The only other time I couldn't close the windows was in multiplayer.

I've had the same issue with the windows. When loading the Cold-n-Dark save (KNKX) my windows are always open. I click on each one and I can hear the audible close sound but they won't close. . .right away. If I wait about 30-45 seconds they will both close. . .strange behavior.  I have set the aircraft reload per your suggestion in another post to Ctrl + Shift + R and when the B-52 reloads the windows will be closed.

As it turns out. This is what mine does. Wait about 30 seconds, the windows close. Doing the Ctrl + Shift + R to reload the B-52 works and everything is good like it should be. Really strange indeed.

What does pressing CTRL+ALT+F4 do in your FSX? I don't have a keyboard shortcut that uses that combination (nor is one listed in the default keyboard shortcuts) so it means nothing to me. Sorry, but until I know that I can't help you.

It sounds to me like your throttle levers are somehow being pulled into reverse, which on the B-52 Driver, is the engine cutoff position.

Are you using a Joystick/Yoke/Throttle quadrant that has the ability to pull the throttle levers into reverse? If you do. Try disabling your controller (CTRL+K) and THEN starting the engines. See if they remain running that way. And if they do, you will know it's the throttle controller you are using.

I was also unable to start and keep engines running and my control colum was locked. Also, the side windows wouldn't close.

I did a complete uninstall (including the registry), then downloaded the exterior, then downloaded the B52 Driver update, installed both, now all is fine. Looks like there was originally a problem with my online verification which as a security feature, kept everything locked.

Hope this helps
