Where is the PDF manual?

There's no training manual.
The CS C-130 is not a pilot training software but an enternainment title.

But if you aleady know how to operate the C-130 you'll be pleasantly surprised that everything that actually works, does it in the way similar to the real C-130.

If you don't know the C-130 aircraft, but you'd like to study it for academic or enternainment purposes, the true classic E or the early H manuals may help.

WARNING: DON'T USE THE CS C-130 SOFTWARE FOR FLIGHT OR GROUND CREW TRAINIG.

So, can you please explain the "Blue Left Loc" and "AFF" mode on AP rotating knob?
Thank You!

The problem of many real manuals is that they many tines not match exactly with the simulated version of aircraft.

From the C130 manual at AVIALOGS.

  • BLUE LEFT-LOC : Flying inbound or outbound on the localizer beam. (Think LOC mode on Boeing/Airbus)
  • GYRO PILOT : Used for any autopilot mode not using radios. Wings level, flies where you point it. Can use the trim and turn dials to fine tune during flight.
  • RANGE LOC : Used for VOR/VORTAC tracking.
  • AFF/APR : Approach mode - ILS loc and glideslope tracking. Not sure if this mode is working as intended.

Blue left Loc default not responding, I did a few hours at various Airbases and would always turn away from from the ILS, maybe something like back course is triggered or something, but definitely not working for ILS and in UK flying definitely needed lol

Fortunately I still have my manuals from FS9.
Purchased the "H" yesterday taxied and flew a B-52 pattern around KTIK. I do miss the autopilot instrument on top center of the old FS9 C-130s. I'll grow into it.

Pressing "Evaluation" on the "2k4 Checklist" does not visually focus on the addressed item in the aircraft. Too bad.

Taxi is the best I have seen in FS for years.

I would use the FS2004 version manuals, because the plane is nearly the same handling vice.

I'm using my old MSFS 2004 (FS9) Manuals. They help a lot.
BTW, since I can't post yet,

The pilots Steering Wheel works! This is the first working steering wheel I have seen for this type of aircraft.

WOW that's astonishing that CS would not bother to make some sort of instructions for a product that obviously needs it even for "entertainment". Basic how to fly doc. would be helpful.

A free manual is available from Captain Sim on their website.  Look for the "Legendary C-130" for FS2004.

You could use the Manuals for the C-130 X-perience (FSX) too as I believe they are free to download too.
You can get them here: https://captainsim.com/products/c131/manual.html

I've been looking through them a bit so I can find things I need to be able to fly the C-130 in MSFS.  Roll Eyes
