Although this will work fine. Another Workaround is to simply add the AvionicsSwitch=True to the Apron.FLT file and save it. All radios and transponder screens show as working Smiley

Not tested on a flight however!

Nevermind, still had to use Ctrl E to get the engines started.
I'll keep digging

When I set AvionicsSwitch=True the frequencies are displayed but they can only be modified for Comm 1 and they only swap from standby to active in Comm 1. [/quote]

Fair enough. I must've missed something on startup as that's working.

I'm not a dev so clutching at straws to make it work xD

Hi,

I got a problem with the B772 with the GE engines and the Worldlinerrs mod.

When im in flight and maintaining an Altitude and a low airspeed the Aircraft has to pitch up about 10 degrees to maintain its altitude.

Does anyone know ho to fix this?

Why are you flying at such a low airspeed?  It is normal for the plane to pitch up at such a low speed without any degree of flaps extended.   If you go much slower with no flaps you will stall.  10,000 feet is not a normal cruise altitude.  I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

right, the Situation is Not Realistic  at all, but the Problem also shows up at Short final.
The Aircrafts Pitch is again at is at about 10 degrees with Full Flips extended, a normal landing Speed and a normal landing weight, while the Fpv is on the horizon.
When i pitch down to about 2 degrees i get a descend rate of -2000fpm, which i dont think is normal

No, this is not normal.  Descent rate is normally around 700 fpm, pitch around 2-3 degrees -- certainly not 10!
Please let me know:
1) Are you using the WorldlinerRS Mod Fix 1.3.2 (available at top of this thread)?
2) What is the gross weight of the aircraft and how many pounds of fuel do you have?
3) What is your airspeed on final?

Thank you for your fast answer,

I dont have the exact weights, cause im not at Home, but i can tell you that i had about 5% of fuel left on landing and no extra weight( Passengers or Cargo onboard). I will try to recreate that Flight to give you the exact Numbers .

Yes, im using the WorldlinerRs Mod 1.3.2

My airspeed at Final Approach was 140kt with 000/0 Wind

The air speed is if anything a little high, given how empty the aircraft is.  But if it were going too fast on approach for its weight, it would pitch down, not up.

I am wondering if it would fly better with full passenger load -- maybe the aircraft doesn't behave realistically when nearly empty of payload.

A screen shot of the Weights page would be helpful.

I assume you are using the -200ER GE version.  Do you have all three folders showing up in the Community folder:
wlrs-captainsim-b772-ge90

wlrs-captainsim-boeing-base

wlrs-captainsim-boeing-behavior

(as well as the CS 772 base file, captainsim-aircraft-m772)?

i actually got it working quite ok now after some fine tuning in the Flightmodel.cfg file.

I dont know if the behavior is realistic now, but its flyable and landable (enough for me doing long haul)

i just made a testflight with some passengers and made a screenshot.

Thank you for your help.

Really Heavy plane, dont know if its a mod issue or the 777 is just like this but it seems really heavy, i can barely climb to 33 thousand feet before i start loosing speed and stalling even when thrust is set to max toga, anyone having similar experience?

my radio panels only turn on when I press CTRL+E, why does this happen?

I found a fix that makes the three Com frequency displays display properly. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

This fix works loading the aircraft at the gate or ramp.  No need to press Cntrl-E.  It works for me, and it may work for you.  If not, or these changes cause other problems, you can just restore the unmodified files.

On my setup, the frequencies are all visible and swapping the standby frequency for the active frequency on each of the three com channels works.

You need to have the files contained in wlrs-captainsim-boeing_XoPct_CS1.3.2.zip (Salty)installed in your community folder (you don't need the ones for aircraft you don't have installed).  The link is available at the beginning of this thread.

I have the 777-200ER GE and 777-300ER (GE engines) purchased from this site.  I don't own other versions but this fix might work for them too.

FOR THE 777-200ER GE:

Start in the folder:
wlrs-captainsim-boeing_XoPct_CS1.3.2\wlrs-captainsim-b772-ge90\SimObjects\Airpla
nes\CS_B777-200ER_GE90B

The two files you need to modify can be edited with Notepad.
FIRST, MAKE A BACKUP OF Apron.flt by copying it to a safe place outside the community folder.

Open Apron.flt with Notepad.

Find the section [Avionics.0]

The first entry under this heading is:
Comm1Active=122.800

The last entry is:
AvionicsSwitch=False

Delete the ENTIRE SECTION., from the [Avionics.0] entry all the way down to AvionicsSwitch=False

Save the file.  Make sure the saved file has the same name and stil ends in .flt

SECOND, in the same folder, locate the subfolder Model and open it.

MAKE A BACKUP OF m772_201_interior.xml by copying it to a safe place outside the community folder.

Open m772_201_interior.xml with Notepad.

Search for
  B777_Com
(You will find three entries, one for each Com panel, each in a line that looks like this:
  <PANEL_NAME>B777_Com</PANEL_NAME>)

Carefully change "B777_Com" to "B747_8_Com" (without the quotes).

Be careful not to make any other changes; even an extra  ".  "," or ";" can mess up the entire file.  That's why you need a backup.

Save the file.  Make sure the saved file has the same name and still ends in .xml.

MODIFYING THE 777-300ER the folder to edit is:
wlrs-captainsim-boeing_XoPct_CS1.3.2\wlrs-captainsim-b77w-ge90\SimObjects\Airpla
nes\CS_B777-300ER_GE115B

The apron.flt file has the same name, and the model folder file name is m773_305_interior.xml)

SOMETIMES THE COM FREQUENCY DISPLAYS GO BLANK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLIGHT.  CONTROL-E FIXES THIS FOR ME, and since the engines are already running and everything else is already turned on, it doesn't cause any problems.

I just want to say that you are a gentlemen, scholar, and hero for this. Followed the instructions to a T and my radio and transponder panels are working! YEsssssssssssssss! Thank you!

Thank you very much!  Since I posted this I found another cause of the frequencies going blank:

The Avionics on/off toggle is set by default to the Page Up key.   In the CS 777 it causes the COM frequency displays to toggle off/on. This key is also used by the very popular Pushback Helper addon to toggle hide/display and may be used by other addons.  So its use can inadvertently cause the COM display to go blank.

Hi Liebherr280,

Please explain your issue in more detail.  Which 777-300 are you using - -300ER, 300PW or 300RR?  Are you trying to use the 777/764 WorldlinerRS Mod?  What exactly is working and what is not working?
