Thanks again Mark- tried that with no luck. I put in a ticket to CS. Got their usually personalized customer support ( wasn't excepting anything else) directing me to the knowledge base that said repair either SP2 or Acceleration, which ever you're using.
Before I did the FSX reinstall, I had SP2. I reinstalled with a brand new boxed copy of Acceleration. Still the same thing. Can't imagine a brand new copy of Acceleration needs repair, especially considering everything else installed just fine on it including other CS planes. Anyway, I'd be very reluctant to run the repair after a clean FSX reinstall just for this.  I got this plane on sale so no great loss here.
