You will need to do a complete uninstall (KB #685), that requires you to delete the 777-300 entry in the registry. Then when you reinstall the 777-300, you will need to activate it again, you are then given the choice to do an Instant Online Activation (this computer must be connected to the internet) OR a Manual Offline Activation (on this computer using another computer connected to the internet). Select the latter AND you can use the same computer to do the Manual Offline Activation. I do it this way all the time now on my current computer (which does have internet access).

True. But it is best to Right Mouse Click on the file and select "Run as administrator" from the list.
You might need to disable your Anti Virus software too, as it might be interfering. I do both of those things when installing anything in my Windows 7 Professional 64bit, just to be sure that they install correctly.

Well something is definitely wrong if you've uninstalled correctly and reinstalled correctly you shouldn't have any trouble. uninstall it and use ccleaner to clean the registry and reinstall see how that works  make sure you restart after using cc cleaner and also a good idea to restart when u have reinstalled it
