Gentlemen,

Just began with 1.3 and am enjoying as, many moons ago, I was a TWA flight engineer on this bird.

I missed something because I cannot turn off the VOR ident; the switch does not work on my install - specs below.  Sad

Also, have programmed CS aircraft to my liking in the past and have changes to the autopilot GS Auto which I believe are much smoother and as I remember the actual operation, although every Captain I flew with did a manual ILS approach as I recall; if interested, I will post cfg changes.

Thanks for the help.

Jack

the old far....!  Wink

While I haven't purchased yet, I also have 2000+ in the B-52.

i7920 OC to 3.7.. Win7 64 SP2, FSX SP2, 460 card using Inspector and 290.53 drivers.

Man! You shouldnt mention that you were TWA F\E on 707, coz now im gonna ask tons of lame questions about that bird! Im crazy, ask Lou  Cheesy

About Nav1\2 ID - i had that funny glitch only once. i just tunned it off (or to other beacon), click switches several times, and tunned it back again. It fixed itself. Had this last week inflight KJFK-KLAX. It looks like some FSX glitch.

I believe that was caused by SquawkBox or FSPassengersX running.

Anyway, if up mentioned solution not works for you, you can try to run 707 installer again, and then select REPAIR mode Wink

Lou,

010369 which meant 3 frigggin furloughs and finally a new job path in '80 but, man , was that a sweet job!

Son has the best seat in the house on a Delta 767! as well will retire as CDR, USNR, this year. Think he will retire as Delta Capt  Smiley but think I will have crossed the river by then but who knows!

Bye the bye, I remember only programming the INS from my charts as we were about to enter track?

Jack

I still can't turn off the ID, even after repair - would Acceleration make a difference?

FOLLOWUP: Installing Acceleration fixed a number fo issues including how the autopilot behaves with my minor changes - interesting because I can't save a CS 767 flight in the air without errors when I load the next time.  Smiley

if ADF in OFF positions on overhead, and ADF ident OFF on audio panels, they still beeping. just detuned ADF, and beepeng stops.

Maybe thats the real case of upper mentioned problem?

I made a bad flying today. gone sleep unsatisfied Angry
Luckily that was a cargo flight in 707-300C

What is the switch that will turn off the beeping ID sound? This beeping is really annoying!

Thanks!

These are the default FSX key commands for the VOR 1, VOR 2, DME, and ADF Idents that could be causing the continuous beeping:

VOR 1 Ident (on/off) - CTRL+1

VOR 2 Ident (on/off) - CTRL+2

DME Ident (on/off) - CTRL+4

ADF Ident (on/off) - CTRL+5

If you have changed them, look in the list of commands in the Kneeboard, under RADIO COMMANDS for what they have been changed to. You will need to give each one a bit of time to find if it's the one causing the problem.

If you have an Ident turned on in your default flight, you might want to change it to OFF, and then save it again. With some 3rd party addon aircraft, this is probably the best thing to do.

Mark,

When I tried the default FS command a second set of beepings started (different pitch) which makes me think the NAV ID are encoded in the CS707 radio gauges.

Anyway, I found out the correct switches: the ones marked RANGE on the audio panel, just below the radios. If I click them more than once the beeping stops. BTW, there's a typo in the numbering used to identify the switches in the manual (vol. 2).
