OK, let me introduce my frustration. Iīve just bought what I consider to be a mid/high-end machine. Intel Quad Q9450 4Gb RAM, 2 Nvidia 9600GT SLI ...etc. So I tought that downloading CapSim 757 FSX Demo was just a formal step before buying it. But I couldnīt believe what my eyes were seeing. FlyTampa FSX and 757 Demo runnig, no traffic compiled yet and I got 7 fps. When paused I got more than 50 fps but after pressing "p", fps dropped till 8 at a maximum. Please tell me this is a demo issue!!!.
Tell me this isnīt hapenning in the good one.
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Sorry to disappoint you but i'm having the same issues with retail version of 757. I bought it before the demo came out, and at the moment with the latest version, I still can't get more that 10 fps on clean FSX+Accel (SP2) install. To get 10fps I had to change all settings to Medium, even though all other add-ons (767-300ER, another company's Airbus Series v1 Deluxe, etc...) are working fine on HIGH settings with fsp between 20-60 fps (20 at busy airports).
I would also like to pinpoint one thing, CS support keeps saying that many have issues, but also many doesn't have, so it's not their fault. That's quite wrong, because if only 20 people with high-end machines have these issues, then it's an exception that others don't have it. I still consider 757 as buggy product until we can run it on our machines with decent framerates. It's so easy to fix it. Give us options - like different models - vc only, vc + cabin, no vc no cabin, etc...
I did some research on this model, and tried to get it running faster. I run simple test, by getting rid of all gauges so the panel was empty, also in VC mode, and you know what? no change! still 7-10 fps. So what's causing that? 3D model? It's not up to me to find the issue.
A month ago, I found an issue in one of the another company 767's gauges, and I was ignored, so...
I hope that CS will make this product more playable, it's still the best 757 around.
Cheers
