How to enter a Thrust figure in the FMC? (Read 4319 times)

	I've tried several formats and get INVALID ENTRY. Can't find where in the manual this is covered. Appreciate any help.

	I'm putting in temperatures, i.e., 70, 58. The manual says it's optional to enter a C or an F like in 70C. The CDU will take two figures for Centigrade and three for Fahrenheit. After my original post I found the location in the manual where this is addressed. It's in Aircraft Systems, page 92, in section 10. TAKEOFF.

	My I understanding of the instructions are that adding the "C" is optional, but adding the "F" is a must: Celsius entries cue I or 2 character between 0-99, optionally suffixed by "C". Valid Fahrenheit entries are 1. 2. or 3 character integers between 0-99 suffixed by “F". because the word "optionally" only occurs in the sentence about Celsius, and not in the sentence about Fahrenheit.

	Yeah something is broken now, I'm noticing suddenly evey degree of assumed temperature now reduces the EPR by 0.01. So today where the outside temp was 28, it wouldn't take anything above 48. It wasn't like this before, it seemed almost perfect before the last update. My takeoff performance calculator is asking me to put in 53 and it won't take it.

	Here's what I've seen so far with version 1.0: entered 62, received INVALID ENTRY. Entered 62C, received INVALID ENTRY. Entered 62 again and it took it! This worked also on version .99 for one flight, but not when I tried again on a follow up flight. At that time I noticed that it would work if I entered a temperature less than 50C. Hope this helps the team diagnose the issue.

	This is with v1.0 in P3Dv4.5 I did noget an INVALID ENTRY when entering 62, or 62C. Every time I enter a number between 50 and 99, without adding a C to it, it enters fine, and the D-TO is entered as XX ^oC (i.e. 63 ^oC D-TO). But... If I added the F to the number, providing the number was 59 to 99, it is entered with the ^oF added (i.e. 64F entered as 64 ^oF D-TO). The one strange thing I did notice, was that only the even numbers worked (of those I tried between 66F and 74F). i.e. 66F, 68F, ... 74F. Entering the odd number, it added 1^o to the entry. i.e. 65F would enter as 66^oF, etc. Entering 59F I got 59 ^oF D-TO. When I entered 60F, it entered 61 ^oF, 61F would also enter as 61^oF. 62F, and 63F would enter as 63^oF. 64F entered as 64^oF. 65F, and 66F would enter as 66^oF, etc.. I tried this up to 74F. So all in all, I'm getting the D-TO somewhat okay.

	On a flight today I entered 60 and it worked. I entered it as the first thing I entered on that page. Again, I only entered 60, no "C". Thank you Markoz for your detailed post.

	Entering the de-rated thrust was the last thing I did on the page when I got the results in my previous post.

	Happy to inform that I've been able to enter the de-rated thrust in all my flights without any problems. Now, I just need to find a good calculator for it. TOPCAT isn't computing correct figures for this bird. Does anyone know of an alternative that would work with the CS B767-300ER v1.0?

I made a post with video evidence showing how close it was to CS figures. Are you using the right settings? PW4060 and UNCHECK combination derate/ assumed temp?
