Reinstallation all Products

I am getting an error code 33 on all attempts to reinstall.

I have tried generating a key file but nothing happens and it fails to generate a key.

I have correct product codes and other information. I have been able to download all fresh installation software for all products via the extended download section for each product.

Any ideas?

Yes no virus or firewall issues to prevent. No previous issues doing a resinstallation.

Yes I have done all that.

Note the manual key generates a code.txt message not a key.txt message.

The installer will not recognise or use the code.txt generated.

Nothing seems to stop this error message for online activation. Error 33 internal sever error.

I should add that I also have tried installing with the firewall turned off.

Same outcome.

The products are obviously locked at your server and will therefore not install.

Yes I know they are old products and they were purchased some time ago.

I can replace them with other addons if you want me to from another provider.

I would even buy them again but given the problems with reinstallation I am having now why would I do that.

I am not happy.

You have to go to this site: https://www.captainsim.com/activ/offline.php, to activate the  products.

You upload the code text file (i.e. code_x767.txt), and it generates a a key text file (i.e. key_x767.txt), which you save on your PC, and use it to activate the product.

Using the attached image as a guide:

1. Generate the code_????.txt
2. Use the code_????.txt to get a key_????.txt
3. Use the key_????.txt to activate the product
4. This just shows where I save my code text and key text files on my PC

You don't need to re-purches them again. I had to download, and install all of my Captain Sim product a few weeks ago, and I had no problems at all installing, or activating them on my PC (see my PC specs in my signature). All of the products installed on my PC are definitely the latest versions available.

I'm sure it must be frustrating to recieve the error codes during the installation, and I know it would make me unhappy too, if it happened to me.

Note. I disabled my Anti Virus program (Avast Free), and Windows Defender for the duration of the downloading, the Manual Offline Activation, and the installation, of the Captain Sim products (I literally just did the 777-200 Base Pack for FSX/FSX-SE a few minutes ago).

Thanks MarkOZ - after going around in circles for days the key code manual process finally worked. The 707 and 727 are finally back in my fleet in their Ozzie colours where they belong.

Very relieved simmer as I cannot see these two ending up in P3D, so I am sticking with FSX.

Cheers

The 707 is supposedly the current aircraft being upgraded (in progress) for P3D4:

Captains,
the following is the current status of what is going on with our product upgrades for Prepar3D 4:

The 737 Captain family - Released.
The C-130 family - Released.
The 777 Captain II family - Released.
The 1011 Captain II family - Released.

#1 is the 707.
Status: in progress.

We'll update this list as we go.
The list is CURRENT so please do not ask if there's any news.

As for the 727, maybe it will be done as well, even though it isn't on the list of upgrades being done for P3D4. Undecided.

Interesting but good news MarkOz. My concern these days is that MS with their new Flight Sim (and it looks very good) is going to be very different such that scenery addons, weather addons will be redundant and my assessmsent so far is that as they are now using a new modelling engine it will be very hard for most sim model developers to rebuild FSX stuff to work in the new sim. P3D is a good bet.
