ACE integration for repaints...

Hello

I was wondering if there might be a thread or tutorial for the compatibility and specs for using ACE to add variants of paints to the CS fleet.

Regards

Pages 10 and 11 of the ‘C-130 X-PERIENCE’ FLIGHT MANUAL Part I – User’s Manual (cs131_manual1.pdf) explains how to setup a livery so it can be installed using the ACE for the C-130.

You can download the manuals here: https://www.captainsim.com/products/c131/manual.html

Thanks for pointing me in that direction...it is helpful.

I was able to "back engineer" the formula by seeing how a ACE compliant folder was built and placed in to the variants folder of ACE folder within FSX

Is there a way to assign the flag to the aircraft, for example I assign the USAF flag to a ACE installed repaint, next time I go in to the aircraft for loadout and payload configuration it has another flag as the base option. And while easy enough to re-select the flag, I was curious why it is going back to the USMC flag???

Edit the aircraft.cfg (I use Notepad). Here's an example for the C-130E, RAAF livery:

[fltsim.4]
title=CS C130X 4
sim=C130
model=g
panel=g
sound=
texture=aus
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=RAAF
atc_airline=RAAF
atc_flight_number=
ui_manufacturer=Lockheed
ui_type="C-130E"
ui_variation="Royal Australian AF"
ui_typerole="Multi-Engine TurboProp"
ui_createdby="Captain Sim"
description="'C-130 X-perience' Pro Pack v.1.3\n(c) 2008 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com"
flg="Australian"

I'm not sure if I changed this using the ACE, or manually, but it has stayed like that since I did it. Wink
