777-300 & Freighter Expansion Models in P3Dv2

I have been experimenting with the v1.4 777-300 and 777 Freighter Expansion Models in P3Dv2.2 and they are working fine.

Here is what I did:

I copied the CS_B777-300_PW, CS_B777-300ER_GE and CS_B777F folder to P3Dv2.2
then I modified the CS_B777-200ER_GE and CS_B777F panel.cfg's so they would work in P3Dv2.

Those of you only using P3Dv2 might need to install the Expansion Models using the Migration Tool, but you will still need to modify the panel.cfg's.

I have made the panel.cfg available from my dropbox (it contains the modified panel, panel.cfg, and a backup of the original panel, panel_original.cfg). Download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cfg3vf6vmvxh89m/773%26777F_P3Dv2.zip
Just extract to the Prepar3Dv2\SimObjects\Airplanes folder and allow the panel.cfg to overwrite you current panel.cfg

Note. The panel.cfg for the CS_B777-300_PW is aliased to the panel.cfg of the CS_B777-300ER_GE, so it does not need to be modified!

Awesome Mark - but if I buy non prepar3d version now - I would have to re-purchase the prepar3d version again correct ?

But 9.99 what the heck cant be that price even if I had to buy it again

Oh I just thought of something the fsx version of cs777 had graphic problems especially the VC it was terrible lots of shimmering and unreadable and the native P3D cs777 base pack looked great are you seeing this ?

What did you change in the new cfg file ?

The main changes in the panel.cfg was so they use the gauges from the P3Dv2 777-200ER_GE, which are different from those for FSX (I posted an image showing the difference a while ago). I am not getting any shimmering/unreadability in the VC of the -300_PW/300ER_GE/F at all. If I was, there is no way I would not have shared what I did. Wink

Besides all that, this "solution" is done more for those, like myself, who already own the Expansion Models for FSX. For those with the 777 for P3Dv2 only, you might be better off waiting for Captain Sim to release the Expansion Models for P3Dv2. Undecided
