V-One Callout - no sound

I followed the install to a "T" I believe. I will post my entries if necessary.  The guage appears but no sound.  What am I missing.
Update:  I have tripple checked my installation and all ok.  I am using the Delta livery but it is the 757-200 and the vspeed guage is there  but the cg is missing on the cdu (it is properly installed in Window 06) and no call outs.  If anyone can shed light or direct me to a different thread I would appreciate it.  This is frustrating.

When it is properly installed, I can only think of this paragraph being relevant.
Quote:
V-One Gauge Initialization:
When starting in the 3D cockpit, the gauge will not be initialized. Use one of the
following methods to activate gauge:

1. Click on the 'VSpeed Input' icon within the 'Simicons' group (Shift+2).
2. If icon is not installed, toggle to the 2D window view (A or Shift+A).
3. Use FSX menu; 'View', 'Instrument Panel', 'VSpeed Input'.
After the gauge appears, mouse-click anywhere on the black screen area to initialize
gauge.

Did you already check those steps?

Maybe not. My problem may be with the initialization. I will try it today. Thanks.

Ashamed but maybe it will help someone else but after a 4th review I found it works better when "gauge" is spelled correctly in VCockpit01.

I am having the issue of no sound using the V-One gauge.   I have triple checked my settings, looking at the panel notepad, but no sounds.  I have tried to initialize the gauge with no effect.  The gauge shows up, the icon shows up, all the files are in place except for one the instructions show which is snd.txt.  I have looked in the downloaded files and do not see that file.  I downloaded the gauge again and did not locate a snd.txt file.  I can't figure this one out.  I appreciate the help in advance.   Cheesy

The snd.txt file was only a list of the included sound files. It has no other purpose.

1. Are you trying to install to Prepar3D?
2. Does the VSpeed Input gauge open?
3. Does the sound check work when you click on the top of the VSpeed Input gauge?

Please check that you panel.cfg has the following in it:

Paul I am using this in FSX on a Dell Pentium i7 3.4ghz 8 gigs ram, 1024 mb video card with plenty of HD space.  The gauge opens I can change the v speeds, reset the fuel burned, but the sound check does not work.  I checked all my setting with what you have and what the read me file had and all is there in the same order checked and double checked.  I'm stumped.

Please check for the dsd_fsx_xml_sound.gau in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Gauges folder.

If it is there, search for dsd_fsx_xml_sound.gau in you FSX.cfg file under the [Trusted] section. If you're using Notepad, press F3 to search for any duplicate entries. Delete all entries.

Save the file, and run FSX again. If dsd_fsx_xml_sound.gau is loaded into FSX, you should be prompted to accept the gauge.

The importance of spelling can not be over emphasized in this situation.  As with another post in this thread, I too fell victim to the inability to spell.  My word...xml.  Not xlm but xml.  Thank you for your patience in helping a poor humble unable to spell xml person.  I am grateful for your assistance.  On to my next issue!!! Hello everyone. Please, if someone read this, I'm tired of looking for a solution for this problem. There are not V1, R and V2 calls and the 2000ft 1000ft, minumum and all the callouts.

PLEASE if some one read this, tell me how to solve this ASAP. I've been using this 757 for months and I really want to solve this.

Thank you!

This might work. Try changing this:

[Common]
Refresh.Time=10
Sound.Directory=Captain_Sim\757\sound
SoundOffWhenSimIsSlew=1
SoundOffWhenSimIsPaused=1
SoundOffWhenSimDialogIsOpen=1
SoundOffWhenSimSoundIsOff=1

to this:

[Common]
Refresh.Time=10
Sound.Directory=Captain_Sim\757\sound
SoundOffWhenSimIsSlew=0
SoundOffWhenSimIsPaused=0
SoundOffWhenSimDialogIsOpen=0
SoundOffWhenSimSoundIsOff=0

in the sound.ini file FSX\Captain_Sim\757 folder.

Those are the first 7 entries in the file (right at the top) so they are easy to find.
