For info I have posted a new weapon on the free liveries site.

It is a KH55 Cruise missile as carried by TU 160 aircraft.

Nice work Pete, but as you say in the instructions, we probably want to change some of the parameters, the life duration being one of them. Currently for me, the missile dies after travelling 3 miles.

Please do publish anything that can be made better in respect of the parameters. I must admit I did not check for that. Perhaps look at what I used for the earlier AGM cruise missiles as I think they went on for ever!

These are the parameters copied from the AGM-158. They should work better.

I had the 'self destruct set at 10 sec's in the original please change this to 30. Also, increase the 2 lifetime entries to 30 as well.
That should make things better. I have used some parameters from an earlier missile when testing as I was having some problems making the missile appear correctly when I first tested it and went back to one that I knew worked.

Pete,

I will try these values tonight. It makes sense to have a lifetime and self_destruct time in the same value range instead of the 25sec and 10sec before. Otherwise, it flies very well Smiley
Which ones are you still working on?

Johan,

I have actualy completed another missile that I have not psted yet, that is a missile called a Taurus KEPD. It is a new missile carried by Grippen, Tornado and Typhoon.

I have made it with 3 paint jobs, low vis grey, dark green camo & prototype red. I have not released it yet as I have to confirm some dimensions also despite pictures of the missile on planes and at trade shows I can not find out much more about it, so I am not sure if it is a trial missile or an actual 'in service' missile.

It is ready to go though. as before if any body has a specific request for anything else, just ask and I will see what I can do. It would be good if CS can get the bomb side of things moving.

Thanks for the info and update. Yes, I would love CS to work on the bomb side of this, but they are currently really busy with CS777 Smiley which is a good thing too.
I played around a little with KH55 and I changed some time parameters which the missile show last a little longer.

Lifetime, Ctrlifetime, and SelfDestrTime increased to 50sec, ThrustDuration to 40sec, and also FxWake to csweapon_ai_smoke_mid... for me it gives more time to watch and more "panache" in the wake.

Johan,

Thanks for your help on these.

I will give these a try, especially the smoke as I have tended to use the same one each time.
As for the duration time's etc. as I have said before I will leave this as a figure of about 30 sec's as these missile have ranges of hundreds of miles in some case's and I did not want to add huge gerat times in that may hog FPS for something that you cant see even though the sim is still trying to render it and its smoke.
So what ever you feel good with, 40 sec's is perhaps a good figure for the long range weapons I think.
I will try the smoke effect when I get back from vacation - off for 2 weeks of doing nothing next to a beach.
