Hey guys, how can we adjust the targeting box and make sure it is right around the selected target.

By targetting box do you mean the gunsight? You just move the plane, unless I'm misunderstanding you.  Smiley

Not the gun sight, the box around the contact when we have a lock on the target.

What makes a 'lock on taget'? is it any AI aircraft or do they have to be coded in a certain way. Also, what makes a ground lock on target? I would like to find out as I am making some range scenery (even before I found weapons!) and it would be nice to have something to lock onto.
Do I create normal scenery objects or again do they need some kind of coding?

Any info would be welcome.

It will work on any AI vehicle (but I think that only aircraft will actually disappear). You do not need to do any special coding.  Wink

So if I am using FSDS do I compile as an aircraft, not scenery? even if I want to add some ground scenery or traffic.

Sorry, I don't know FSDS (and I'm just getting started with Gmax). I would guess that you compile as an aircraft, because it's standard AI traffic. (I don't know FSDS, and I'm just getting started with development, but I would suppose that you compile as an aircraft because you can find the enemy AI in the aircraft folder)

Compile as an aircraft MDL file, NOT as a scenery BGL file.

Locate AI TARGETs on RADAR

We assume that people who use FSX and Weapons know how to locate aircraft but since I had trouble with the load as Admin, I don't assume anything.  Of course we are only shooting down commercial Aircraft for fun, or we received an "executive decision".

If you want to use the F-18 Radar to locate and shoot down AI Aircraft see this excellent tutorial by http://fsxblueangels.com at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tfBFysVCg8&feature=player_embedded

They have awesome videos and other tutorials on the radios on youtube and pdf.  Enjoy
