Sorry CS Team, I’m undoing your hard work!

Can’t help myself! I spent my early working life as an Avionics and Hydraulics Technician with the RAAF carrying out D and E (major) services/overhauls on F86 Sabre and Dassault Mirage III fighters at 481 Sqn Williamtown, NSW Aust. Most of these services not only included a new exterior paint job but the cockpits received a make over as well. We prided our selves returning these aircraft back to active service looking and functioning like new.

So I have given one of my B52’s a clean finish and working on the cockpit, here are some progress pics. Hard work undoing the very hard work the CS Team put into giving the crew stations some character and I have a loooong way to go.

Regards Bruce

Nice job! But....It looks too clean for my likes. I love an interior that looks like has been used a lot. Wink

Hmm I understand what you mean and you should continue with your work.
But I have to agree with Mark..
In my opinion, this is a bit "plastic" looking, but hey that is just me..

Forget the cockpit, fix that nose high attitude while taking off and flying.

That's my biggest beef with the CS B-52.

We did. Please email TurbofanDude@gmail.com and we'll send you an updated aircraft.cfg that allows you to fly the plane correctly. Everyone is welcome to try it.

How about putting that updated aircraft.cfg in some beta section or at least an official one, where one don't has to write an email but can try right away and leave some input?  Cool
So a "try this and report" thread would be highly appreciated on this, if I may suggest.

I'm with the other guys, really appreciating the used optics and touch of those CS cockpits so far.
But I respect the wish from some users, wishing for the fabric new stuff too of course.

As you see, a dev can only go wrong there if he doesn't offer both things at the same time. If he releases fabric new optics, the "used" people come up. If he goes with worn optics, the fabric new fans appear. Bad karma somehow.  Grin

I would, but as it includes new/tweaked textures (typo fixes), sound.cfg updates, aircraft.cfg updates, and I included the actual csb52.air file I don't everybody downloading it. If there was somewhere it could go for private downloading I would. I don't want to give away Captain Sim's hard work here!

Perhaps a different method of delivery is in order...

I'd suggest something bound on the actual customer account in the CS profile view where I've downloaded all my purchased things so far.
They could mark it as "beta" or "in development", open a separate thread for input and comments on it and everybody would be good to go, I think.
An email based distribution between people isn't the appropriate way in my eyes. Don't see this sentence referring to you personally though, I appreciate your work.

So, if there's something official to share (which could be beta testing too) on the B-52, make it official, that's my point of view here.  Smiley
As you see, we've just stumbled into the fact that there is some B-52 development going on because jbntx mentioned it. Otherwise, nobody would know.

It's so... clean! Hmmm... could you scrub my 707's engines? (actually, I like the dirty textures, but that's a neat look... nice job!)
