I have been looking for the Iberia repaint both in the Captain Sim list of 300 free liveries and other sites (avsim, flightsim...) and I don't find any Iberia repaint that is compatible with 727 Captain/Legendary (almost all of them are Vistaliners repaints by Eric Kantu).

Can someone help me find an Iberia repaint?

I found a FS2002 repaint for the 727 at Flightsim.com:

The bitmaps probably have alpha channels, which the FSX version doesn't use.  What I recommend you do is download a utility called "DXTBMP" available here:

http://www.btinternet.com/~mnwright/programs/dxtbmp.htm

Then you can open each bmp and re-save it as a .dds DXT1 file.

You don't need the ACE to install the texture; you can just take the texture.cfg text file from another variant of the aircraft, and make a new entry for the variation in the aircraft.cfg.  Just make sure you number the [fltsim.x] the next number in line, and give the variation a unique title.

Thanks for the quick advice and the repaint. I have done what you propose. However both in the original form or as .dds DXT1, the quality is very poor. I guess the only solution is to wait until someone is kind enough to create the livery. I am very bad at it!

If someone is thinking about creating a new livery: think about IBERIA
