For the record REX patched their xml issue, which I agree was very bad, so I don't think it has to be brought up every time someone mentions REX now. I think you'll find me cautious about REX where warranted and giving praise where due, as I do with every product I opine about.

You can believe what you want about AVSIM, and I, too, have disagreed with some past reviews. I disagree with a lot of popular sentiment on AVSIM boards, too, you may have noticed. There has been a tilt toward some devs and away from others, although thankfully, I believe things are much more balanced now. But that's the fan base, not AVSIM. I have never been discouraged from stating my opinion as a reviewer. The reviewers are volunteers who are trying to help the community and exercise their writing skills. The only thing we get is a free copy of some of the stuff we review, unless we already have it (like I did the 767).

I don't really think we disagree on much here at all, except you don't like AVSIM. I am the one who started this post wondering if REX is working well with this add-on. In my opinion it doesn't, and I have also stated that at their website. REX has problems, but most people learn to live with the less than perfect in their hobby and try to enjoy it and get along with people. If this 767 could stand to have its code improved in the area you keep posting about, then great. Life goes on. Relax, Max.

I understand you are expressing your point of view, but where that point of view at least indirectly indicts my integrity, I think you'll agree I have a right to state the facts as I know them. I do not take offense. I am a capital defense lawyer IRL and long ago learned to shrug off anything short of a brick to the head. I also learned to make a good record. And if you run around calling people crooks you're probably going to get banned again. Note it won't be for discussing the 767.

You were the first person here to mention i was banned from avsim. For voicing my opinion.

And in your post above you are indirectly recomending i be banned from here as well, along with all the other indirect negative suggestions you made.

And you also were the first to try to use your profession to give credit to the comments you make.

Well i run a robotics  software company, and i always ensure a minimum standard of software quality, which is so lacking in the sim sotftware industry. Even in a sim, you should get what you pay for. Since you paying for it, its not like they doing you a favour.

CS767 low fps means i ahve had to turn down a lot of sliders in fsx just so i can use it, so am quite glad the authors have acknowledged this issue and will fix in the next patch.

I keep posting about the spam message issue cause cs767 is a very nice plane, and i am quite certain those continous spam messages is what is causing the low fps. With better fps cs767 would be better than even another company, cause it got good cabin as well.

I am not the thug you are trying to make me out to be with your indirect negative comments, and  bringing my reputation into question, talking about keeping a good record, me getting banned, you being a LAWYER etc.

I used to be a software engineer before running my own current software company, and i know a piece of sofware that has been properly tested from one released too early in order to get cash in early at the expence of the customer.

You are right about the fact that fsx siming community is a small one, and there isnt a that much money in it to provide the quality of products one might expect, so i agree we have to expect bugs. FSX is not as popular as xbox after all. And even ACES has closed down.

I think most fsx users, myself included will gladly paymore nearly double the price for FSX addons, so we can avoid the bugs. So addon developers can do better testing on thier products.

Most users of FSX arent school kids with no money in the bank, but busy business people with no time to start messing around with buggy addons, so i will pay more for addons with no bugs, that have been properly tested.

So you can directly or indirectly try to discredit my views by highlighting that i was banned from avsim, but all am saying is that the  exe.xml file curruption is just one of the numerous things wroung with rex2 . And why bother with rex2 when ASA works just fine, with no such issues.

Its not productive to try to use a covert means to discredit a person's opnion, cause it backfires often enough.

I look forward to cs767 patch , and higher fps .

Have a very nice day, and wish you well

You called everyone associated with AVSIM crooks. That was wrong and the type of thing that gets people banned in forums (and not just AVSIM, I believe, now that we're on the topic). That invited fair comment about your history with AVSIM. Stick to discussions about the 767 and none of this comes up. Make gratuitous statements that people associated with AVSIM are crooks and liars and you get a little smackdown from one of the people you libeled. I don't care if you're banned or not because I generally believe the remedy to bad speech is better speech.  Just inviting you to grind your personal axes elsewhere so we don't end up wasting space in an otherwise useful thread.

there is an existing cs767 bug that means its bombarding FSX with too many useless messages that slows down the whole sim, hence the low fps. But this could also be the reason weather programs are having problem wotking with cs767.

Also i noticed that if i try to load another plane in fsx while the cs767 is the current, fsx crashes.
