Yancovitch

If you are running WinXP, C-130 is installed under a few folders under FSX which is usually located on C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

I am not able to assure you full compatibility with all sound cards as it seems that C-130 sounds are very sensitive to sound drivers.

wow!!!! someone answered me!!!..someone cares  Kiss Kiss gosh o'gee!!.....as his eyes fill with tears.......anyways, thank you!....using fsx in vista....yes i know where it is installed, but i was hoping to see the files before they install in fsx, like the panel folder.gauges folder, effects folder..etc etc....not that it would help me necessarily, but i thought i just might catch something which is responsible for my c130 crashing to desktop....thanks, vic

Hmmm, I don't think you will be able to see the files before installing, if I'm understanding correctly your needs, as it is an installer, not a copy/paste procedure.

I don't know if you can look at them before installing, but if you want to know what has been installed:
the C-130 gauges have names starting with c130... or Captain_sim...
the effects have names starting with cs130...
All other files should be in the simobjects and captainsim folders in you fsx root folder as stated before.

noticed that there may be sound card problems with the c-130.....wonder if i bought a sound card with updated drivers, instead of the inboard one....is there a chance my c-130 won't crash to desktop? grabbing at straws....i know.....

Maybe you're having CTD due to sound driver/card. Maybe not.

I have an onboard sound card and I do not have CTD since a nice clear install I have made. So...
