Do the Japanese still use the Starfighter, or have they retired it now also?

Hi ! jboweruk
The Japan Air Self Defense Force isn't using F-104 J  now.
In December, 1985, the duty of F-104 J all ended.
However, the fuselage of the part was used as the unmanned target machine.
There is a person who loves F-104 J of a lot even now in Japan.
I, too, am a member in it.

Thanks for the reply.  I too love the shape of the 104, sleek and very much like a fighter should be.  I can still remember the first time I saw one for real (the only time in fact).  7 of them went overhead, we were at a cricket match just a few miles from Biggin Hill Airfield here in the UK, what a noise. Really I've never heard anything quite like it since.  Grin Cool
