Didn't want to post this as a bug as I may have miss read the manual.
How do I get the Bank Steering Bar on the ADI to follow the Heading Bug on the HSI?
No matter what selection I make on the Autopilot \ Flight Director switch or mode selector the Flight Director Bank Steering Bar will only follow the beam bar om the HSI.

Okay no answer on that one then.
Let me rephrase the question.
could any off you knowledgable Royal Air Force people tell me if the Flight Director Steering Bar on the ADI in Heading mode command a left or right turn to follow the heading bug, ie. turn heading bug on HSI left, steering bar on ADI moves to the left, turn heading bug on HSI right, steering bar moves to the right.
Or does the steering bar always follow the course deviation bar on the HSI? Huh

Looking forward to an answer
Steve

Hi,

There is actually one more switch in the Herc that controls this. It is located just above the NAV SELECTOR switch (the HDG-GPS-NAV1-NAV2 one) and controls this function. When selected to the down position the bank steering bar  commands are driven by the Heading bar on the HSI. On the up position (not sure what the label says), it provides commands to intercept and follow the HSI deviation bar.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Spiros,
Maybe we can now get this moved to the Bug Reports or the Nice To section and get the Flight Director fixed.
Question to Captain Sim, what is it about autopilots and flight directors that you dont like?

I hope you get it right in the 767.
