The real performance data varies to the extreme, what we setup in the E is 280 KTAS, you can find that value on the Nav panel on the TAS indicator.  On the H is around 300 KTAS same location.  Have fun.

In the U.S. Coast Guard, we take off at max allowable Torque or TIT.  Which one depends on OAT.

We climb at 180KIAS.

I think at 500 ft, maybe 1000 (I have to ask), we pull the power back to 970 on the TIT and still climb at 180KIAS.

We usually cruise at altitute at 930 TIT.

930 TIT at like 200 feet through Class B airspace will get you in trouble..

Generally, down low, 6000 LBS FT TORQUE "should" yeild approx 170KIAS  Clean.

I just uploaded some HC-130H bernie book / blue brain inserts to AVSIM.  Should appear soon.  Can look here for when it pops up:

Hello,

in the HAF we are trained to:

Take off @ takeoff TIT (1067-1083 oC), not to exceed 19600 inlb torque. Rolling and de-rated thrust takeoffs are an option for the AC

Climb is @ 180 kias to 10000ft, 170 kias to 15000 ft, 160 kias to 25000 ft. Higher than that, the FE has to dig the charts.

Cruise is done @ 290 KTAS. That will require around 900-930 oC TIT (the FE will provide the exact figure prior to leveling off at cruise alt). We (almost) never cruise @ TIT higher than 931 oC.

Initial descents are done with torque set @ 5000 inlb.

Best regards,

PS/ values are for -15 engines.

What Spiros said.  Wink  Exactly the same in the US Coast Guard HC-130H planes.

And the link is  up.

Original document was in .PPT (Power Point).  I printed to PDF.  Hope it helps.

Great info here.   Thats exactly what our 130's here do.  Now that is for the -15 model engines.  Anyone know if this model is configured for -7 or -15 model engines.

if its -7 the peak TIT range would be 961 - 977 oC
