In the U.S. Coast Guard, we take off at max allowable Torque or TIT.  Which one depends on OAT.

We climb at 180KIAS.

I think at 500 ft, maybe 1000 (I have to ask), we pull the power back to 970 on the TIT and still climb at 180KIAS.

We usually cruise at altitute at 930 TIT.

930 TIT at like 200 feet through Class B airspace will get you in trouble..

Generally, down low, 6000 LBS FT TORQUE "should" yeild approx 170KIAS  Clean.
