Dear CS C-130 community:

Is there any posibility to find a kind of quick reference card or a quick start checklist? If so, can you please post it here in this forum it's whereabout? Where it could be download?

In advance thank you so, so much

hmm, I tell you what, I may be able to get you a pdf version of the actual c-130 engine run job guide the air force uses.  I makes it quick and easy.  I work on them everyday and have acess to the guides.  I will have to ask for permission to get them, but will somehow have to modify them for referance use only.

I checked out both sites briefly.  All of the info I clicked on a downloaded was accurate.  Actuallt I remember seeing alot of those diagrams in my systems class I had recently.  As for procedures and such I didnt see anything there.

The pics were acurate.  Great sites for those of you looking to educate yourselves on the 130.  As for the engine run pdf I will try this week to get it.  I may not be able to due to classification and other rights they may have to these TO's.

Earlier today, I was going to post a link to our a file which covers our avionics.  Then I remembered reading something on the front of the document:

"DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT − Distribution authorized to U.S. Government agencies and their contractors (Administrative
or Operational Use) (1 JULY 2001). Other requests for this document shall be referred to Commanding
Officer, CG Aircraft Repair and Supply Center, Technical Publications Cell, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.

WARNING − This document contains technical data whose export is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act
(Title 22, Sec 2751 et seq.) or the Export Administration Act of 1979, as amended (Title 50, U.S.C., App. 2410 et
seq.). Violations of these export laws are subject to severe criminal penalties."

So needless to say, tomorrow I intend to report the document which I stumbled upon.  I have PDF files of all our manuals at work.  Unfortunately, can't pass them along.

Actually, I've located a government web site that has our Dash-1 Flight Manual, an appendix covering our avioncs and a bunch of other useless junk that noone needs.

Was pretty simple actually.

I went to one of our Coast Guard web pages:

http://www.uscg.mil/hq/arsc/

Cursor over "CONTRACTING" at top right... select Fed Biz Ops

At top left, click the GO to Find Business Opportunities.

Search for:  HC 130

I'll let you find it from there.  I ran this by a higher up at work and he had no apparent issues.  His reasoning was, we had just transferred 3 C-130E's to the Iraqi Air Force... that and the source of the documents put them on the internet themselves.

So, I'm not going to give you the direct link ... someone else can.  My only recommendation is, don't print everything you find.  Unless you have the binders and paper and toner for 5000 pages.

For any discounters of Baseops.net ... it is WIDELY used by A LOT of us 130 Pilots.. and others.  People even use material from there for flight school as well.

There is a gouge file going around the CG that I feel is better than all that.

I'll grab it tonight while on duty and figure out where to put it.

Odd ... I searched for HC 130 and yeah, nothing came up this time.

I then searched for RADAR and there it was.  I went back and searched for HC 130 and it showed up.

So, try that then.. search for RADAR ... click the link and you'll get a list of more links ... click on the CD 2 01  and then scroll to the CD 2 01  section .. you'll find the Coast Guard C-130 Flight Manual as FILE 1.
