CIVA and MSFS2020

Good Day
I have downloaded the L1011 manual for FSX,P3D for review but I'm looking for specific information on the CIVA and MSFS2020 relationship. I can load a multi-waypoint flight in MSFS2020 and the CIVA will pick it up and show it, but it will not fly it. Once airborne the with autopilot in heading and alt hold, I can manually track to the waypoint, and I assume that the CIVA will then take over and navigate. Rotating the selector on the CIVA to VOR or LNAV does not seem to change the result. What I currently see in flight is that the plane stays on the last assigned heading and alt. Sometime a step climb/decent would be in order based on fuel load.
One of the largest planes in my sim hanger, it feels big, it fly's big, it lands big, awesome, thanks.

1. Before takeoff, the CIVA alignment must be performed.
2. The HDG switch must be engaged.
3. ONS
4. The autopilot in HDG mode will follows the flight plan.

Thank You, I programmed a flight from 9NM9 to KROW to KABQ which would give a 140* degree turn left at KROW, the CIVA flew straight to it and then executed a right teardrop to the new heading. Flawless.
