What do you mean by the "static"?
Is the CDU ON?
Do the CDU keys work?

Do you have any mods installed?

Was the FMC supposed to be fully operational? I can only load flight plans through the main MSFS screen similar to the default aircraft. When I attempt to manually enter a flight plan after loading into a flight, I get a blank screen on the "RTE/Route" page. I can't manually load a flight plan. Is this just a visual model with no working navigational systems?

Yes and no.  It IS a visual model, but with all the systems of the default Asobo 747-8.
There is no custom FMC coding for this product, nor will there be.
If you have the "Salty" mod....CS will not support it as it conflicts with their adaptation of the model.  However, another freeware modder made a mod to this mod (confused yet), as to make the plane much more flyable, since CS will not do this.

You have purchased a 777 visual model that uses all the systems in the Asobo 747-8, as the sale literature clearly states.
I hope you were not expecting more?

Thanks.. yeah I should have read into it a little further. Guess I went into it too fast after owning multiple other sim titles from CS and just "assumed" it would be good quality.

Who is the "other" mod developer?
