Flight model final or beta? About to purchase

I'm very much interested in purchasing the 767 and have basically just been waiting for the update for P3D v5.

Then I found this the other day and got a little scared. Starting at 10:50 he's doing some flight dynamics testing and I was dumbfounded to see the plane doing barrel rolls and at some point even flying upside down in a stable way.

I realize the plane is in beta so this isn't necessarily going to keep my from buying it. I suppose the flight model isn't final at this point and will see some significant work to get it to a more realistic stage? I don't really want to fly a 767 jet fighter. Wink

Looking forward to your reply, can't wait to get it, just a little hesitant now, Smiley

Are you saying you think a 767 can't do a barrell roll?! And it can't fly upside-down?  Tongue

Let's say I'm a little skeptical?  Tongue

If this is just because the whole flight model is still in beta, then it's fine obviously.

Real 767 can do that. All that video shows is a realistic 767 performance.

There's no such thing as a 'final' flight model because minor tweaking is an endless process.
But the current flight model is accurate enough for PC environment = it's done.
For further improvement, we'll consider all proofs of any deficiencies.

You’re so right. People say it’s not realistic.. because you’ve seen a real 767 barrel roll so you know how a 767 should act upside down?  Grin
A 707 was able to do it last century, I’m positive a 767 could roll and do all sorts of things too.

To Flycln: I really don’t find the CS767 flight dynamics to be bad. If you compare it to videos, the pitch you need for flare is just about the same, the trim setting are spot on, the amount of fuel it burns is so accurate, the amount of drag you get with each flap setting (or lack) is spot on. That’s all I needed to see!
