Amazing Lex. I was going to do the Peruvian one but work interfered and the project was abandoned. However if I have time I'll try to do the cabin for your skin Wink

Sh.. happens Speck. But you can make another tailnumber so your work isn't lost. Also some had a different tail scheme. Up to you.
greetings, Lex

No work is lost, it's good practice. Plus it was supposed to have happened 6 months ago right after I did the CP Air skin. You did a great job, I love your work.

Hey Lex --- I had trouble with the AK 740as paint. It was graphically corrupted and the shadow side was actually on the sunny side so I un-installed it. Now I am having trouble getting FSX to recognize 742as on my base 200 model. I changed the model from c to 200, but that didn't work???? Also can't get FSX to recognize the Sabena one either.

Hello Bruce,
thks for this feedback.

For N742AS - I did download it from AVSIM without problem. Unzip worked fine. Installed it and it works fine.
To install it as a -200

copy the folder texture.asn742as into the FSX folder CS_B737-200

copy paste the below lines in the aircraft.cfg file which is in the root of the CS_B737-200 folder:

[fltsim.8]
title=CS 737-200 Alaska Airlines N742AS
sim=csx732
model=200
panel=
sound=
texture=asn742as
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=N742AS
atc_heavy=0
atc_airline=Alaska
atc_flight_number=0001
ui_manufacturer=Boeing
ui_type=737-200
ui_variation=Alaska Airlines N742AS
ui_typerole=Commercial Airliner
ui_createdby=Captain Sim
description=Alaska Airlines N742AS B737-290C(A) sn:23136 ln:1032 - 737 Captain (737-200C Expansion model) v1.0\n(c) 2012 Captain Sim www.captainsim.com

in my case [fltsim.8] means it's the 8th texture  so you have to adjust it in your file.
Just for your info here are the lines that had to be adjusted:
title - change it if you have this texture also installed as a Cargo plane. FSX doesn't accept twice the same title and pops up a message.
sim=csx732
model=200
ui_type=737-200 - this is important if you want it showing in the -200 group when opening the aircraft selector window.

N740AS - The old download N740AS didn't work anymore as it was built for the 737 v 0.4 if I remember well. However the remedy to make it work is easy. The texture.cfg file which came with that download is wrong. Fallbacks refer to the wrong place as CS changed the base 737 from the -100 to the -200 since v1.0. Delete it and copy / paste the texture.cfg file from a texture that came with a texture since the 737 v1.0.

Sabena - let me know which one (the Reg for example) you have problems with.

Awaiting your feedback or next questions, take care, Lex

Okay. Lex, it's past dinner/cocktail hour here so I'll get on this tomorrow. I've got more of your paints than I can fly, but they are so darn beautiful I can't resist them!! Please --- don't start doing the 727!!! I'll need additional storage!  Grin

Your paints are the main reason I mostly fly the CS 737!

Okay, Lex, managed to stay awake long enough to get both paints working. Looking good now! Thanks for the help!

Great to hear it works Bruce.
No worry, I stay with the 737. My to-do list is still very long.
If you have any preference for a paint, let me know.
