new install and  a question about  757's FDE

Today I  installed my 757 vs 4.6 after a very long time and I have to say the things flies great. The only thing I do not like very much is that if you start  the plane and change the amount of fuel the plane switches itself completely to cold and dark. is there any way around it  ?Or a fix ?

I have a question about the FDE tho. I noticed that on landing, the plane if hand flown, is a bit too tame. is the FDE based on one of the default planes or was it made  by  a rw pilot or something ?

Thankssss

I can't talk about the fuel problem, Mark will have something there, but as for how the RW 757 flies, it is one of the nicest planes to hand fly.
Take off and landing - if in trim - are very easy. Big engines and big wings make for a joy to fly.

The principles at CS are real world pilots.

Mine doesn't return to cold-n-dark after changing the fuel. It can revert to cold-n-dark after going into the menu, but I can't remember exactly where in the menu I go to where it has done that. So no fix that I know of for that. Sorry. I often wonder if it might be the way some people use FSX. Here's how I use FSX:

- I always run FSX in windowed mode, never full screen. This allows me to go to other areas of Windows (i.e. a tutorial.pdf), or whatever, and return to FSX without having to press ALT+ENTER twice to be able to see FSX on my screen again. I also get better frame rates in Window mode than I do in Full Screen mode. Of course it comes down to personal preference, and that happens to be mine. Wink

- I always run FSX using "Run as administrator", but that's only because I have one addon aircraft that doesn't work unless I use FSX with it. So I has a valid reason for doing that.

Mark,

I was doing a nightflight earlier on. I paused the sim and returned to it now and moved the time forwards. The plane reverted to  cold-n-dark and it was basically game over. Too bad.

I get better frame rates full screen. The apps that I run when I use the sim are installed on a networked  pc.

To start a new topic, you need to reach 10 posts (at the time of my writing you are at 3 posts).

Until then, try to find a topic that matches your problem the closest , and post a reply in there.

I know it makes it a bit awkward, but it's an Anti-Spam measure used here. Undecided
