Using weather engine

Tested the ver 1.3 flying a B777-300ER, both ASN and OPUS weather engine aircraft is unstable. Using no weather engine, aircraft is flawless.
Active Sky Next heavy bouncing on turbulance thus loosing speed and altitude. OPUS fsx when update change on weather, sudden drop of altitude and speed thus making the aircraft unrecoverable.

Overall, very nice 1.3 update...........

Ok did another test, OPUS fsx is stable on this one, although the speed/alt fluctuation still there when weather is doing an update..which i also see on other add-ons.
So far so good........

Have you tried to lessen the effects in ASN? It's not as bad if you do that. I had another addon bouncing around a lot using ASN with the standard settings, so I like the idea of ASN, but it can be pretty hard on some other aircraft and not just the CS777. I only have one day left in my trial period, but I'm not 100% sure if I will buy ASN yet. Sad

I also found other things that ASN is doing that i don't get on OPUS. I have 5 more days of playin with it and the more i test it, the less chance i will get it. OPUS is doing ok with the CS777 for now.

I've been using AS2012 for real world weather and I really like it. Before that I had ASE, and befor that ASA. I never really liked REX or OPUS.
I guess it comes down to personal preference. Grin

I use ASE for my weather with REX textures while flying the CS772/773 and never really noticed any ill affect. Mine seems pretty stable when it comes to this, perhaps as stated before maybe to due with settings.

I think it comes down to turbulence settings.

All my addon aircraft bobbed up and down, and left and right, when using ASN. Once I set it to the EASY setting, they all performed better. Grin
