Voice Control For the CS 777 is on its way
Jul 23rd, 2013 at 7:33pm
Print Post
Hi all.

We are pleased to inform the community that work to interface the CS 777 for the purpose of voice control, has started a while ago and should be completed by Mid to end August.

It will be the third Captain Sim fully supported aircraft, after the 767 and 757.

We're looking for a couple of MCE users who fly this bird a lot in order to speed up the process.

For those who never heard of MCE, more info over here:

http://www.multicrewxp.com

Thanks

Ian

Personally, I would wait a while (until a stable version of this airplane is achieved) before buying it. But anyway thanks!

We could have done it by last FEB or MARCH, however decided to wait until the new patches were released.

From a multi crew operation perspective, version 1.2 is good enough. Things like how well the VNAV performs aren't relevant to FO operation.

It will be possible to some extent.

We teach our FO how to read and change the various VC cockpit buttons, as well as the rules of good airmanship.

You can either give straight voice commands for FO to execute, or you could create your own voice commands that will get the FO to perform any flow you want. A flow being a sequence of actions executed in the order and pace you choose.

There will be some basic flows for things like "preflight procedure", "before start procedure" etc...

And you can modify those to suit your particular airline needs.

As long as Jean Claude does not start whining "Captain please stay alert. The airspeed and altitude are not as they should be" Grin

Really enjoy MCE, great work and looking forward to this (ramp mechanics are not I strangle too many of them already)

Wait until you hear Dieter (German FO joining next month) Smiley)

You can tell FO not to bother you, using any of these sentences.

Stop nagging please
Leave me alone
Keep quiet please
No more nagging please

Nice! There are times when the FO can be a nuisance! Grin

Released today.

Finally, the CS 777 becomes the third Captain Sim fully supported aircraft.

Fly the big bird in a multi crew environment using full voice control.

That includes MCP and radios dialling as well as coordinated checklist with ECL, without you touching the keyboard.

You can even create your custom voice commands and get the FO to perform a chain of actions in the sequence and pace you dictate.

Everyone can have a go.

Next should be CS 727
