777 performance

I like the look of the 777. Unfortunately, it is a resource hog.

For example...sitting at 26L at CYVR I get 30 fps with the CS732, 25 fps with the CS767 and only 16-20 fps with the CS777.

Are there any ways available to improve performance ?

Thanks

I do not need to upgrade a system that works just fine with other addons thank you.

Will look for the texture fix..

please post a link if you find it. I think the VC textures may be a bit over the top in terms of quality. For the first time too much quality is not a good thing and I have a powerful PC.

Although it's a resource hog, I got a gain of between 3 and 5 fps with the v1.2 update. Undecided

Hi I just bought this in the cs sale. Although it's great, I'd like to see better frames.

Can you give me some tips on how to do this?

I seen the texture adjustment tweak but I have a feeling that it does not work on 1.5 as the panel.cfg seems to read different.

The VC seems to be a resource hog more so than the exterior model, for me at least. I've never really had decent frames with it.

The VC has a lot of moving parts and code, so naturally it will be a resource hog compared to the exterior. LOL Wink

The same can be said for the another company T7, and my frames in its VC are vastly improved. Probably has more to do with the way the textures are baked on in the CS version.

I think that it makes good sense to develop aircraft models with the best hardware available in mind at the time of development. For instance the 707, 757 and 767 are ultra smooth and stable on my 3 1/2 years old rig, the 777 is playable but more stuttering. The best tweak I guess for smooth 777 performance is i7 4790k/GTX980/8GB fast RAM Wink.

Best regards
Anders

I have it running without stutters. I don't ever turn framerates on so I have no idea of fps.

I also don't use global sceneries which I think brings a lot of pc's to their knees.

I have improved my fps from 7-8 to 15-16 by slaving the co pilot instruments to the captain's instruments and reducing their resolution to 256x256. Wink
