WINDOWS 8/Navigation Line (Missing on DISPLAY(S))

Just curious if this my error in entering in the information correcting for the FMC or if it is another issue that CS has to work on for the upcoming 1.2 HOPEFULLY*

When you make a flight in the FMC/CDU the distance is shown in NM on the display; however, the NAVIGATION LINE does NOT APPEAR .. is this just a display issue with users who have windows 8? or again a fix that is required by CS?

Also, could there be any assistance in helping figureout why the plane keeps rocking back and forth on cruise? its annoying as hell and cannot be stopped..

Thanks!

Have you pressed EXEC the CDU to activate the flight plan?
Is the EFIS set to APP or VOR, rather than MAP or PLN? When the 777 first loads into FSX for me, I need to turn the ND Mode Selector (outer) switch to MAP or PLN every time. It always starts in FSX with it set to APP mode.

Here is a image just to show... also note: Lol it does not show EGLL (where im sitting at in the game) so there has tobe something wrong with the aircraft nav system here? =/ EGLL-VIDP i made direct just to show there should be a line.. but it does not appear.. the pink magenta line you seei n the display is just a HDG not the actual route..

Looking at your image, it looks like you are doing a direct flight to VIDP. Have you added a SID and a STAR? Only placing the destination airport as the ONLY waypoint won't do. You are best to add Depart Airport, a SID, Jetways and Waypoints, a STAR and an Approach (like an ILS runway) at the Destination Airport, or it looks like you won't see the magenta route on the Display.

Mind you, VIDP is listed as 3632nm away so it will still fly you there, even though the route is not displaying. Wink

Try changing the settings in the [Custom Autopilot] section.

Use whichever of these is the different on to what have in your aircraft.cfg.

[Custom Autopilot]
AP_Roll_speed=3.91
AP_Roll_window=5.7
AP_Roll_controlstep=2825

[Custom Autopilot]
AP_Roll_speed=4
AP_Roll_window=7
AP_Roll_controlstep=1500

The first one is the default v1.1 setting, on which mine flies great. The second is, I think the settings that Captain Sim posted a while back in regards to roll left and right. It was mostly happening during an ILS approach, but it might fix the in-flight rolling problem.

I have the above issue with v1.2 (I didn't have the issue with 1.1). Using Windows 7.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
