Umm, use the MCP. Thats the dials and switches you see on top of your 6 displays. Switch on AT for autothrottle, AP for Autopilot, VNAV and LNAV to get your plane climbing and following your flight plan and the rest are pretty self explanatory. Note that you must have AP engaged for VNAV and LNAV and the others to work.
