Having edited the .xml file my PC says "Access Denied" when I try to save it! What am I doing wrong?

John,

Right click on the file and select 'properties'. Then the 'Security' tab at the top of the panel. Make sure that you have sufficient permissions available to you.
I have mine all ticked as 'Full control'.
Also, make sure the file is not set to 'read only', but this normally tells you if this is the case.

Hope it helps

pete

Thanks for that Pete - now I just need to master the syntax for the changes - I might be back to you...  Cheesy

John,

Glad it helped. I am no master of the .xml sytax, but depending on what you are doing I may be able to help. I am just familiar with adding my own new custom weapons and altering the code accordingly to make the new weapons appear. I am sure if you need any deeper help then there will be someone on this forum who will be able to assist you though.

Pete

Thanks. I'm quite pleased with myself in that I've now got the proper  "fire" button to work on my new Saitek X52 Pro. just by editing the syntax. Better watch out for my armed Spitfire now...
Thanks again.
