I've just recently (yesterday) done a complete reinstall of the CS 767 and it is doing really well on the Flight Plan. But there are a few bugs with the CDU/FMS that can be a real pain to do the work around.

See my Topic Fix for missing T/D in CDU/FMS for one of the problems I am referring to.

Even so, I am still really enjoying flying the Captain Sim 767. Wink

As far as I know, there are no other bugs with the FMC (at least none that I have ever had). There are two other bugs, however, both of which generally occur after loading a saved flight: the first is that you get a hydraulic system warning, and the second is the RAT sometimes deploys, occasionally without any way to un-deploy it. That being said, I think you'll find it suitably complex: I fly NGX a lot, but I never stopped regularly flying the 767 until the 777 came out to indulge my long-haul needs, and I still fly it when I have time.

Yes. The 757 also has these problems too. The 757 v5.0 is planned, so that will, hopefully, address those problems. Not sure if a 767 v2.0 is planned, but I would think that they probably do. So hopefully, they will address them there too.

The other bug is that with some approaches, the flight plan (route ends at the last waypoint in the STAR, which will not allow the route to be finished. I have a fix for that too, and am planning to  explain how I get around it. Soon.

I already pointed you to as fix for one of the problems: Fix for missing T/D in CDU/FMS. This problem does not happen all the time. Neither does the missing end of a route (missing STAR and TRANS). I don't know of a fix that will prevent it from happening on the arrivals that it does happen on.

The fixes are easy once you've done them a couple of times. I'll get that other one up ASAP (before tomorrow).

EDIT Nov 25th, 2012 at 1:32pm: Here is the fix for the missing STAR and APPROACH, or just the APPROACH - Fix for missing end of route

It's prolly been asked but could this bird fly routes that are put into wait her the default GPS or like the GNS430, GNS530?

Ie where I could simi fly it by hand using alt hold and speed hold and have it fallow GPS routs, I know it's backwards but I wana try doing a few things like that.

I've never tried doing that. You can create routes using the FS Planner that can be loaded into the CDU/FMS, but you still need a departure and arrival AFAIK. You can fly it by hand using alt hold and speed hold if you like. I prefer a flight managed by the FMS! Wink
