Need help with approach transitions

Hi,

I make a simple plan from EGCC and back to EGCC.

I set my departure to 23R followed by a HON departure, then I go direct to TNT followed by a DAYNE 23R transition.

Then the FMC will show a vectors stage in the flightplan which I remove to give me a smooth plan from DAYNE to the end of the ILS.

When the aircraft reaches DAYNE the FMC reports that the end of the route has been reached and all the waypoints from DAYNE to the end of the ILS beam including the missed approach waypoints are removed and I  have to fly the remainder of the flight manually.

This has been bugging me and I have tried it over and over.  Why does the flight end and the aircraft not fly it automatically?

Also why are some waypoints not a "DIRECT" or a "VIA" but have a "." instead?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Yeah there were none.  Not sure if it is a bug or not.
