C-130 Realistic Controls

Is there a way to bump up the sensitivity on the controls? I was flying Fat Albert earlier and I began to notice that the plane didnt turn as sharp as I wanted it too such as the REAL Fat Albert.

Examples:

The turns

The nose down landing. A real C-130 would have no problem pulling up sharply but it seems the CS C-130 needs more time to pull up.

The amount of weight you are carrying on board (fuel, pax, cargo) will affect that slightly in the sim.

Try flying when empty. If it takes too long to bank or climb/dive, you can change he settings in the aircraft.cfg file.

Less then 1 usually increases the time it takes to bank, so try increasing the value (more then 1)?

Usually, for me, I want to do the opposite.

Are you using a Force Feedback Joystick/Controller? My MS Sidewinder 2 Force Feedback Joystick makes controlling the C-130 sluggish (and a lot of other aircraft). But not my old Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick.

As a side note. The MS Sidewinder 2 Force Feedback Joystick feels the forces much better, and stronger, since I upgraded my computer recently. I wonder why? Undecided

AirCanadaGuy: Yeah Ive tried that and I did see that it helped. I even made sure I was around the right speed and everything. I think its just how the plane handles.

Markoz: Nah I have a Saitek X52 (non pro). I tested to see if there's any change in control feedback with other planes and it seems fine. Like I told AirCanadaGuy, I think its the plane meaning I think its how the plane was designed maybe? Is there any way to make the plane feel more like a jet, where it is more maneuverable.

You might have to play with some of the handling sections in the aircraft.cfg. In the [flight_tuning] section. I have no idea what does what, so that's the best I can tell you.

Don't forget to backup the aircraft.cfg BEFORE making any changes. Wink
