CS 757 PFD Question

So I have the CS 757, and I have a poster of a 757 on my wall, and I noticed that there is an airspeed indicator on the PFD, but on the CS 757 there is not, is there a way to get airspeed?

There's only the Fast-Slow indicator and GS above that. You can only read your indicated airspeed in kts in the analog indicator. I'd really like an airspeed band instead of the F-S indicator in the upcoming update though!

do you have to pay for every update, certain updates or no updates? I'm kind of confused on the update aspect of Captainsim, I read that awhile ago you had to buy the different blocks, but the newest download comes with every block (atleast the one I bought)

The latest version of the CS757 is v4.6. There will not be any more free updates for it. That means we will not see a v4.7.
So the next version is going to be version 5.0. It is not a free upgrade to version 4.x, so we will all have to buy it.

Why do we have to buy the updates? We already bought the aircraft, so why charge for the updates?

We have had this discussion before in the 757 forum. It works like this. Free updates from version 4.0 through to version 4.6.
As far as I know, version 5.0 it is going to be a completely redone 757, not an update.

As for the speed tape, that was an airline option. I saw some cockpit videos with and without it. Well, same as you, I wished for an option on the CS to enable/disable it, but it's not stopping you from flying the plane.

With 4.5 or 4.6, the VC speed bugs could be moved, so that's where my attention is, while the slow/fast pointer than helps to maintain the approach speed.

On the 5.0 version. As Mark said, they seem to go for a new development there, so it's not like those 4.0 to 4.6 steps, fixing bugs and adding features, it's seems to be a completely new thing. You can post wishes in the corresponding forum section if you like.

the only thing that will stop me from flying my CS 757 is my computer, I absolutely love it! Everybody says it has horrible flight dynamics, but I think the fly dynamics are believable, they seem pretty realistic to me, plus, my main focus is eye candy, not procedures or realistics, I like how there is a cabin, and that the windows shaes open and close, the lavatories are beautifuly modeled, the flight deck doors open, the cockpit looks AMAZING, the cockpit window opens, the captains coat moves with the turns, the wheel chalks, everything that Captainsim put in there that they didn't need, my friend has the CS 767, and i went over to his huse, and he let me walk through it, and the whole time I'm thinking "Wow, CS has gone above and beyond" because CS really did, they put stuff in there that was not expected, nor did they need to, like the overhead bins open and close, the shades you can put it anywhere you want (not just open and close, but halfway, 3/4 way etc) and the lavatories, the stewardis cart, everything. I absolutely love captainsim and I can;t wait to buy the CS 767.
