Switch allocations

We have made an actual switch panel for the cockpit simulator to mimic the CS Weapons panel and have the physical switches wired via a controller. I can make the switches follow on screen by adding lines to the .xml file, but I would like to be able to run them through FSUIPC and here lies the problem.

As FSX was never designed as a combat Sim no current switch allocations exist for switches on the weapons panel and so can not be mapped by FSUIPC.

Does anybody know how to do this or where I can get the info from to enable me to do this?

Thanks

Pete

Hi Pete.

You could try using LINDA. CoolP is better at explaining the use of LINDA with FSUIPC than I am, but it might useful as a "go between" for FSUIPC and the codes that Captain Sim use in Weapon.

I have not used LINDA with FSUIPC, so I'm no help to you there. Sad

Mark,

Thanks for the info, not seen this before.

I have a few more things to try in FSUIPC first that someone has suggested, then I might give it a try, but it looks a bit messy at the moment having to create macro's etc.

CoolP helped some guy in the 757 or 767 forum with LINDA and FSUIPC and his flight controller. The guy who was helped was (1) impressed by LINDA, and (2) thought it was quite easy to do.

We all know that what is easy for one person, may not be for another. I have no need for trying LINDA, yet, so I don't know if it is easy or not for me.

Hi Mark,

I will give it a go when I get back off my Hols. It would be useful to try as I do not have FSUIPC on my home system anyway.

I will keep you posted.
