Hi! Dont be sorry for asking, or this forum will be useless

About Doppler. Make sure you turned it on. Switch located on overhead panel. It have states off, rec, on, test (if i remember correctly).
then set DNS control panel (near the radar) to Standby. set range and heading for A and B slots (leg 1 and leg 2 of your route) Slot selector should be in neutral position.
Check that INS switch is in Doppler position (It located on Captn panel below altimeter)
Then ready to use DNS, switch it from Standby to MAN of AUTO mode. and then select slot A or B (depends where you put leg 1)
Turn on autopilot, and select NAV hold mode.
DNS should work.
A couple of notes.
DNS starts to track your route after you switch it to MAN or AUTO mode, and select slot. Autopilot will track that route. So switch it to say, AUTO, and right after that Slot A. And right after that turn on A\P to NAV mode. it'll work.
It is better to takeoff, then track direct to VOR. And start to use DNS then flying over that VOR. Same for arrival. Fly DNS. Then inrange of destination airport VOR, switch to VOR nav.
If you set DNS to MAN mode and then decided to go to AUTO mode - Switch it to Standby first, reset legs. And then set auto.
Have a nice flying! Ask questions if you have any
