SABENA OO-SJM REPAINT RELEASED (OLD PAINTSCHEME)

After "some" development time of +- one year, this one is finally done now. Please let me know your experience with the repaint, there are some new techniques I applied...

+++ IMPORTANT: To get the best appearance (as on 1st picture) of the chrome mirror effect, I highly recommend to install these freeware envmap textures: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=129335

Dear Tanya, please add to library, THANKS.

Download link (for 707-300 basepack)

Hi, I am still playing around with this as I am not yet satisfied with the results.

I had to find a workaround for editing the main texture's alpha channel as normally as this causes display errors with the fuselage, especially in the window area.
Tried editing the Spec-Files and their alpha channels and the bump files and their alpha channels. A combination of this, in addition to the right aircraft belly color (for the chrome effect) is finally the solution.

I was never satisfied to "paint the chrome effect" on the aircraft body, is this is too static and colors are not shifting while flying a curve etc.

I didn't see a read me file. Just one file appears in the download named 707sabena.rar. Not sure what that one file is. But no readme file.

Brian. Use WinRAR, WinZip or 7-Zip to extract the contents so you can see what you got and what to do. As far as I know, they all have free trial versions you can download.

Thank you Mark!

You're welcome.

Something to think about - I think it is would be better to ZIP them (I know it doesn't compress them as much as a RAR file does), but Windows has it's own included ZIP program (the compress folder/drive thingy) that is able to open ZIP files as if they were a folder. This could explain why Brian doesn't have one of those programs. Wink

I downloaded the WinRAR and got the livery installed with no problems. Thank Mark and 707 Capt. It's really a nice job. I installed the envmap textures. The chrome ( aluminum ) looks great. My new favorite 707 repaint.
