737 All Models VC gauges.

I have (coincidently) just added the 2 x new Ryanair liveries to my aircraft list correctly, and noticed that all my gauges in the VC are black and well, missing, I have reinstalled, and this problem still exists.  Any other have this issue?  Angry

Depending on when the Ryanair liveries were done, they may have been created for the CS737-100/200 Exterior models.
If that is the case, then I recommend that you copy the texture.cfg, from one of the default CS737-100/200 liveries into the Ryanair texture folders, replacing the original texture.cfg's.

This is what the texture.cfg for the 737-200 Base Pack has in it:

[fltsim]

fallback.1=..\..\CS_B737-200\texture
fallback.2=..\..\CS_B737-200\texture\bump
fallback.3=..\..\CS_B737-200\texture\spec
fallback.4=..\..\CS_B737-200\texture\night

And this is what was inside the texture.cfg of the 737-200 Expansion Model (before they switched to the -200 being the base Pack):

[fltsim]

fallback.1=..\..\CS_B737-100\texture
fallback.2=..\..\CS_B737-100\texture\bump
fallback.3=..\..\CS_B737-100\texture\spec
fallback.4=..\..\CS_B737-100\texture\LM
fallback.5=..\..\B737_800\texture

Hope this helps.

Is this still the case eventhough all the other 737 models now suffer from this?

captjames,

A quick question, if the 2 Ryan Air schemes are mine i.e. Hertz and Jaguar. (They were made for the -200 Adv addon pack).

are you using them on the -200 base pack or the -200Adv addon?

if using them on the -200 base pack you will need to copy the texture.cfg from one default -200 paint schemes, and also modify the aircraft.cfg entry

from

sim=csx732
model=adv

to

sim=csx732
model=200

This fix will work on all -200 Adv schemes put into the -200 base pack aircraft, the only thing you will loose is the engine extension).

this is a  long shot, do you know where to find your Main FSX.cfg file?

if not type this into your start bar search box

%AppData%\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.cfg

make a backup first incase of a FUBAR.

open the file with notepad ONLY

look about half way down the page  for the following section

[Trusted]

and search for the Captain_sim 737 entries and delete them.

save the fsx.cfg file

re run fsx and load the 737 it should ask you to accept the .dll files and gauges again.

Bruce,
          I have tried this and unfortunately this didn't work, and also I wasnt asked to accept the relevant .dll files. Sad
