Hi.
Just purchased this.
How on earth do you operated the AP selector.
You put mouse over clickspot and it does nothing. Stuck on MAN

Eddie,

Welcome to the best flying plane in the fleet!
OK, so I'm prejudice.  Tongue

The 707 auto pilot is much nicer to use in 2D pop-up.
Select SHIFT+5 to get the pop-up. You can place the 2D autopilot anywhere you like as you fly around.

When you mouse over the turn knob you will get a - sign on the left side and a + sign on the right as well as a message seen in the capture above. That is the way to turn the autopilot. For me personally, I use the autopilot in HDG select only since it is a lot easier.

The pitch works the same way as the roll. Mouse over the pitch wheel and see what you get.

Many thanks for your reply.
This is my first day, so be gentle,

I can turn the big pitch wheel, as in your screen shot, my problem is the selector that switches from NAV, HDG,MAN, LOC VOR, GS AUTO, GS MAN.
The + and - symbols show when I nput my mouse over it, I get the "click" sound, but it will not move.

Am I missing something?

Eddie... did you turn the autopilot switch on?

When you move the autopilot switch (yellow arrow) from OFF to AUTOPILOT then you can place you mouse over the mode selector and as you see the left side gets a - (minus) and the right side gets a +.

Go fly!

also very important: the turn wheel must be centered to select a different Mode than MAN (as far as I remember)

There isn't a tutorial in the manual.
I did think of doing a tutorial so others could get started, but I just got lazy and never did it. I would get in to start a Tutorial, but would end up doing a flight and not a Tutorial.
