CS 767-300's vertical speed indicator not working

I have the CS 767-200 and 767-300 and I noticed recently  that on the 767-300 the vertical speed indicator is not working.  I don't often fly the CS's 767-300 and that's why I noticed the problem recently.  I switch each IRS to Align then to Nav, wait about 25 seconds then all instruments display functionality except that the VSI is still off and later on in flight the attitude indicator loses sync with the aircraft's attitude.  I reinstalled the CS 767-300 and it still had that problem.  Did I miss a step in preparing for flight or is this a bug that need's to get fix?

Before I aligned the IRS it said 'OFF' in white writing, in a red box on the VS Indicator. After aligning the IRS, the 'OFF' went away and it worked fine for me  Undecided

I haven't seen this type of error or bug with the 767-300 or, for that matter, any of the expansion models. Have you updated to the latest version, 1.5, or is this with an earlier version?

If it is an earlier version, get the latest version by checking-in to Your Profile > Product > Extended Download Service > Get New Links.
To be on the safe side, do not delete your older installers unless v1.5 works like it should. A few are having problems with v1.5.

I found a workaround to my problem.  What I did was load a flight with another aircraft and then switch to the Captain 767-300.  Is this going to be fixed in the next update or is there something I can edit in the aircraft.cfg file to fix this?

I also want to add that my autopilot does does respond to my commands on the 767-300 when I load up this aircraft without loading up another aircraft before that one.  Is this going to be fixed as well in the next update or is there something in the aircraft.cfg file to fix this?

I want to add that these problems I don't get with the Captain 767-200, just the Captain 767-300.

Hi DreamPilot.

I always switch the IRS from OFF to NAV. I leave it on ALIGN, except by accident, in which case I will turn it OFF then turn it directly to NAV.

The instructions in my other Boeing aircraft, fitted with an FMC and IRS, say to turn the switch from OFF straight to NAV without stopping on ALIGN. So that's exactly what I do for all of my Boeing aircraft fitted with an FMC and IRS, including the Captain Sim 767 and 757.

Give it a try and see if that helps.

Also. For my default Flight, I use the FSX default Cessna C172 with everything turned off except the Avionics Master Switch (cold-n-dark).
