I think the APU sound is much to lloud. Is it possible to reduce this noise, and if yes how?

Have good flights

Hey, I tried to change sound values in .cfg files but it didn't work.
I deleted the APU idle sound... so I only hear the APU start and shutdown.
Or you could also replace it for another sound.

I agree, and the same happened with the update for the 757.

First, back up the original sound file (apu_idle.wav) so you can go back to it, if necessary. Then, open the sound file with a sound file editor (like Wavepad) and reduce the volume to 50%, or less, and save the file with the original name (apu_idle.wav). Works great now.
