WW2 unguided rockets available

Just had some new rockets posted onto the free liveries. 60lb, 3 inch unguided rockets for the WW2 era aircraft.
I have also further added to the .xml file the options to fire single shot or in pairs. 8 rocket positions in all.
No action shot this time as they are a bit small and fast! I made them some time ago but was unable to compile them as they are quite small, finally went back a version of FSDS and they compiled fine?
Instructions included.

Sorry for the non authentic aircraft in the picture!

Enjoy

Pete

Going OFF topic for a moment. What version of FSDS gave you the problem and what version actually compiled them successfully? Hope you don't mind my asking.

Mark,

I have been using V3.51 for a long time now and it gave me a wierd error to do with Makemdl and would not compile at all. My conclusion was that this model is very small in size, as if I added just one other large size part (a big tube) then it compiled OK.

Then the other day it came in a flash! I thought about using the old version that I still have loaded, and use from time to time. It worked no problem. I do know that in V3.xx Abacus did go over to using the Makemdl & Xtomdl compilers (To make models compatible for FSX) and before they used their own one, so I can only assume this was the problem.

Also off subject again. Do you know how to calibrate the 2D HUD? The red ring that appears is above the HUD generated by CS, It does not tell you what parameter to adjust to bring them level. I have had a play but no joy so far.

Take care

Pete

From memory, FSDS V3.0 used MakeMDL (FS9). With FSDS v3.5.1, you can select either. The beauty is that FSX can display models made using MakeMDL and XtoMDL (FSX).
I have found that anything I could do in FSDS 3.0 I can still do in FSDS 3.51. I just need to change the settings in the Preferences, to revert to creating the MDL with MakeMDL.

As for calibrating the 2D HUD, I thought that it was explained in the manual. I have never changed that so I don't know how it is done. I'll see if I can figure it out.
