Frame Rate Eater?

Hi Folks, I'm looking at the Weapons program as my next purchase but I just want to make sure of the ability to use this while flying in some high Resolution add-on scenery.

I watched the 3 videos and all of them were shown with very basic scenery and I wasn't sure about the quality of the plane doing the shooting. That may have been due to the video resolution itself, (I don't know).

Still, can someone confirm that they are able to fly in some high resolution scenery, (ex: FTX PNW, UTX USA/Alaska, GEX, etc.), and are not losing significant frame rates?

I'm sure there is some kind of hit but for computers with 3.9GHz CPU and up, with a 1GB GPU or higher, is there a lot of stuttering when there is a missile launch or explosion?
Thanks

See my computer specs below (in my signature). Firing the Hydra Rockets (set to unlimited ammo) and holding the fire button for quite a while (10 - 15 seconds), without losing more than a couple of FPS. I use FTX AU, AU YMML in my main area of operations for shooting down the civies. So to me it doesn't affect the framerates much at all.

Thank You Mark, can you tell me if your CPU is O/C'd and if so what GHz is it now?
Thanks
PS From the look of it I will probably be OK. So I'm going to buy it because it looks pretty fun to do once in a while. But I would still like to know if your CPU was O/C'd if you don't mind.

Nope. My CPU is not overclocked and so it is currently running at its default speed of 2.93GHz and has been this way for months. Wink

Mark

I changed my Profile signature to show the CPU speed. Cheesy

I have a good computer that runs at 15-25 fps with full settings but I cant fire rockets because they cause fsx to freeze up for a second... everything else runs fine. any solutions?
