ok fine the first to fly past mach 1 was the tu144 but it was never sucsesful so alot of people dont count it the first to fly commercial passengers past mach 1 was the concorde. the tu 144 never did a commercial run

Correct, a Douglas DC-8 operated by Douglas aircraft was controlled into a shallow dive and broke the sound barrier in either 1961 or 1962. It was later delivered to Air Canada, with no problems in its service.

Yeah, and many say that the Me262's airframe could not survive transonic speeds.

I know it's not the 747, because they don't have air conditioning or heating in the plant. When they first built it they had their own weather patterns in there!
