You need to update the 707 Captain (707-300) Base Pack to v1.3.

Check-in to Your Profile > Select product (707 Captain (707-300) in your case) > Extended Download Service > Get New Links

Have you done a full uninstall that includes removing the entries for the 707 from Windows Registry (using regedit)? If not, you might want to give i a try. KB #685 has all the details on how to do that.

You could try yawing(Y key),F4 to climb, then F1 to return to the ground.
Most aircraft will put the wheels down when they reach the ground.

By the way...If I change aircraft with the simulator paused,I also see a 707 without undercarriage, but pressing the P for pause key brings them back.

Regards,
Nick.

Andy:

No wheels showing was a problem I had when I added the cargo and AWACs expansion packs to my original installation without first updating the base installation to version 1.3 - it was very frustrating until I figured out the fix

If you installed the original 707 release base models when they first came out some time ago and then recently added the expansion packs you might need to first upgrade your original install to 1.3 then install your cargo and other expansions.

You can find the 1.3 service pack under "Updates" on the 707 product page - if you just recently bought the whole package than 1.3 is probably already incorporated and this may not be the answer but it's worth a try

That solved the no wheels prob for me

Hope this helps - good luck!

Hello thank you to all who posted in this forum about my missing wheels.
I now have a new set of wheels and i have to say thank you to captainsim for the hard work in making this program work.

I know what the fault was but im not telling you, simply because it was a simple error. (Not On MY PART) If you have such problems like i did look at KB and look at other posts too it will help you.

Here is a pick wow

Does your computer meet the minimum requirement (as in FSX SP2 installed)?
Maybe your installer is corrupt, or the online activation of the 707 failed.

First try a reinstall, using the "repair" option to see if that fixes it. If not: Check-in to Your Profile > Select product > Extended Download Service > Get New Links and download it again. Install from the new installer.
If that still fails: Check-in to Your Profile > Select product > Customer Support > Search KB or Submit New Ticket. Do a search on KB#685 and follow the instructions which include removing the 707 entry in the windows registry which for the 707-300 Base Pack is x701

The blades at the front of the JT3D engines do not rotate, the rotating fan blades are behind them and you need to look very closely to see them (see attached image).

Is your 707-300 Base Pack that you installed, version 1.2 (csx701_1200.exe) and not version 1.3 (csx701_1300.exe)? That could explain the missing landing gear.

To get the latest version: Check-in to Your Profile > Select product > Extended Download Service > Get New Links

Hope this helps.

My "User Account Control"is not disabled, could it be the problem?
because in KB#685 says for vista and 7 users the "UAC" must be disabled.

I did all the instruction:
1-uninstall base and exp packs
2-remove registry entries
3-disabled "UAC" cause I use Vista
4-re-install them

but still the same problem Sad
what next?

note:I had 757 and C-130 installed with no problems, so why 707?!

Do you have "advanced animations" enabled in the FSX options (graphics tab).
Do you install the plane with a right click and "run as admin" and all antivirus protection set to off temporarily?
Apart from the things already mentioned, these two things come to my mind and may cause trouble like the one your are describing, Abdulla.
Hoping it helps.  Undecided

I rarely turn UAC off (Win7) and have not had any problems with installing the 707 Base Pack and Expansion Models, as long as I use "run as administrator". But I don't know if there are differences between the two with regards to the UAC.

Can you confirm this setting?
Do you have "advanced animations" enabled in the FSX options (graphics tab)?

And you are running FSX SP2 or Acceleration, right?

Abdulla, I think this sounds like a protection thingy to me.
Please do that installation again  Undecided, all sorts of possible system protection set to off, UAC off, admin account, right click "run as admin" and fingers crossed.

It really sounds like the downloaded installation file, csx701_1300.exe, has not been activated properly.
Did you try KB#685 and in do so, removed the entry from the windows registry? So that the file needs to be re-activated online when you run it.

It is all I can really think of for why this is happening to you. Undecided

Hi Abdulla.

Have as look in the registry and see if you can see the following information:

(Default)
data
RegCode
RegName
support
tpl
version

If it is there, it must be activated. Make sure that the information after    RegName    REG_SZ    is your order number and that it is correct (it must match your order number from where you bought it). Remember that the location in the registry of Windows 64bit is different to Windows 32bit (see image).

I'am going to install it again with no registry entries & will see, if the problem still there I think that's mean that the installer file from CS is the problem.

OK. Did you download a new installer at any time and try to install it from the new one? If not, download the 707-300 Base Pack installer again and reinstall from the new one. See if that fixes the problem.

To get a new installer: Check-in to Your Profile > Select Product > Extended Download Service > Get New Links.

I think the problem from the installer file itself.

Submit a ticket regarding your problem AND mention this Topic! That way Support can look at everything that has been done in an attempt to resolve this problem. Hopefully it will be sorted out real soon for you. Undecided

I don't think there actually is a fix to this problem. The simple solution I've found is to just re-load the aircraft.  Undecided

Does this happen every time (or at least a lot) you load the 707? It only ever happens to me if this line: gauge00=Captain_Sim.x707.sys!main, 0,0, 2,2 , is missing from the panel.cfg file. It's found in the [Window00] section.
